“If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would be marrying the goofy guy with the Afro that I met at college orientation class, I would not have believed you, but as we have come to know, God works in mysterious ways”, shared Emma Peake in her marriage vows to her Prince Charming, Caleb Schultz. Emma was an 18-year old Freshman at Grand Valley State University, when she met Caleb, 21, who played the trombone. They were both in marching band where Emma played the French horn, and right from the start, she knew he was “the one”, the love she dreamed of since she was a little girl, the guy who won her over with cookies, long texts, phone calls and deep conversations. On June 30, 2024, Emma married her “sweet, chatty Cathy, dog-dad, fantasy football, collector Caleb” to the joy of her parents, Paul & Shana Peake and his parents, Duane & Jaime Benton. The couple had their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic and are back nesting in their new trailer home in Ludington! May they continue to make sweet music together, all the days of their lives!
